I3 Leadership Luncheon at Wisconsin Lutheran College focuses on the Leadership Paradox

Greg Marshall from CI Design Tells Us Why Doing What Works Might Be Totally Wrong

Milwaukee, WI (01/30/2020) — Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC) will host I3, a leadership event on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the Time of Grace Center located in the Recreation Complex on the campus of Wisconsin Lutheran College (8725 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee).

I3 is a power luncheon for business leaders to network with other Christian leaders, be INSPIRED through excellent keynotes and discussions, and IGNITE a passion for servant leadership to IMPACT those within their sphere of influence.

Registration and networking begin at 10:45 a.m. At 11:45, enjoy a luncheon and presentation by Greg Marshall, Chief Storyteller and Producer at CI Design, a creative marketing agency located in Milwaukee's historic Third Ward.

Marshall will talk with leaders about "The Leadership Paradox: Why Doing What Works Might Be Totally Wrong." Caring for ourselves is often the best way to improve how we lead others. Moving forward requires stepping back and going deeper. Maximizing our success usually starts with re-imagining what it means to be successful. Mastering an area of knowledge typically means embracing paradox, complexity, and mystery more than certainty. If we're not thoughtful about our leadership tendencies and our foundational assumptions about success, then we might be doing something that "works" on the surface while damaging something important below the surface. Greg's presentation will explore this topic with stories, insights, and examples that will encourage you while helping you reflect on potential areas of growth.

After the keynote, Jeremy Bock, Executive Director of the WLC's Center for Christian Leadership, will facilitate a discussion with Marshall followed by an audience Q&A session. The I3 event will conclude by 1:15 p.m.

The registration deadline is March 25, 2020. Individual tickets are $50 and corporate tables of six are $350. Parking is free. To register or learn more about sponsorships opportunities, visit http://www.wlc.edu/i3WLC.
